Where is Big Sur?
“Come down to Big Sur and let your soul have some room to get outside its marrow.” – Richard Brautigan, American novelist, poet and writer of short stories
Big Sur represents an experience of a lifetime. The scenic, winding coastal drive warms the heart to prepare you for coastal redwoods and clean and sometimes colorful sandy beaches that beckon. As you arrive in Big Sur, you can visit the River Inn, chat with some of the locals and possibly soak your feet resting in lounge chairs in the gentle Big Sur River. You will begin to understand why Big Sur is such a special place. Our next stop is Pfeiffer Beach, where you will have the chance to explore, view remarkable rock formations, read a book or just sit, enjoy, relax and drink it all in.
